Very well-kept country inn with a large dining room and cozy parlors. There is also a winter garden and outdoor management. Extensive menu with regional dishes. Smaller portions are also possible. Game goulash with spaetzle and salad were delicious and served quickly, friendly and attentively. All around good and recommendable. Everything accessible without barriers (use side entrances). Reservation makes sense.

We dined excellently, price / performance ratio was right. Service very attentive and good. We will come back. You should definitely reserve for Sunday. A small minus, with 2 people you are placed somewhere in a corner.

Recently renovated, rustic and absolutely lovely place!! the food was delicious and the waitress super friendly!

Enjoyable country hotel near the historic town of Altensteig. Good central location to explore all points of the Black forest. Staff (family) was very helpful and friendly. Good associated restaurant. Guest rooms are in a separate building away from any road noise. Plenty of Mooing and rooster calls from private balcony in the morning. Sizeable, quaint rooms. Ample parking (a rarity in Germany). Lovely experience. Fruhstucke was terrific.
